The spring cultural and educative caravan “Muslim family in Donbass: traditions and realities”, organized by the All-Ukrainian Association of Public Organizations “Alraid” and the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine “Ummah”, started on March 30, 2013. It will be on till the end of April, moving across Donbass localities with week-long interval. For more detailed information about date and venue of caravan events in your city (town) or locality, please, contact imams of “Ummah” mosques and Islamic cultural centers in Donbass region.

Wise old men and “green” youth

When the caravan was being started from Sverdlovks, subjects discussed there drew attention of wise old men and “green” youth alike. More than 60 persons came to learn something useful or to share useful experiences. Because while preparation to family life is subject of interest for those intended to marry, ways and means for problem solution in mixed marriages are a matter of concern for couples with good experiences in family life.

Priority setting in a right way

Subject to separate discussion was what a contemporary Muslim woman should look like. What should she do to go with the times, to be successful in social life and effective in professional career, but to remain keen, loving and solicitous wife and mother. However high are the community-set criteria of success, it is important that she is not played out in racing for unattainable ideal and set up priorities in a right way.
