The all-Ukraine Association of Social Organizations “Аlraid” and the all-Ukraine Social Organization “The Ukrainian Centre of Islamic Studies” acted with resolute condemnation of the “brutal” act of terrorism made on killed and injured tens of innocent people. In the organizations consider that this crime is directed “on kindling of international and inter-religious hostility in the Russian society”.
This crime is committed during the period when Russia tensely searches for ways of achievement of sociopolitical stability, dynamic development of the economy and culture. Russia consistently realizes a course on adjustment of strategic partnership with the Islamic world, actively participating in searches of decision of challenges connected with definition of qualitatively new level in relations.
“We are sure that those criminals who committed this crime do not have nationality or religion. All world religions resolutely condemn terrorism, murder of innocent people in political purpose. The Holy Quran equates murder of one innocent person to the murder of the whole mankind. In their statements the AUASO “Alraid” and the AUSO “The Ukrainian Centre of Islamic Studies” call Russians of all nationalities and creeds to keep self-possession, calmness in this difficult period and not to give in on provocation from the powers of darkness, aspiring to cast Russia into contention and chaos abyss. We urge heads of Muslim organizations of Russia to show the maximum diligence in preservation of peace and calmness on the Russian land and in protection of reputation of Islam and Muslims”.
The Ukrainian Muslims express their deep condolences to the brotherly Russian people and believe that they will courageously endure this tragedy.
Wave of Islamophobia
According to the date of the site of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of the Russian Federation, as a result of two powerful explosions which took place at 7.55 and 8.40 at the stations “Lubyanka” and “Culture Park” of the Moscow underground, 36 persons were killed and 32 wounded.
Among victims of acts of terrorism were also Muslims. So, in the list of victims there is a citizen of Tajikistan, Abdurahmonov Umed Huseynovich, 1986. Personalities of 16 killed are still not defined.
Act of terrorism in Moscow caused a new wave of Islamophobia, which victims became two Muslim women dressed in scarves, which were attacked in the underground car by one of the passengers. He literally threw them out from the car at the following station. Other passengers did not react to the event. Besides, as the witness confirms, there were no police officers at the station.
