The Crimean tatar Kurultai appealed once again to the President of Ukraine Mr. Viktor Yanukovych, asking to name the Simferopol international airport after Mr.Ahmet-Khan Sultan, Twice Hero of the Soviet Union.
They drew Mr.Presidents attention to the merits of this USSR test pilot, the laureate of the USSR state prize. The Kurultai noted that this decision had been delayed for almost 4 years for internal reasons.
The document stressed that VI Crimean Tatar Kurultai has a broad social support in this initiative, and the document is signed by the heads of 83 different organisations, businesses and offices.
