“Halal Guide” application, popular among the Russian Muslims, expand habitat. Now not only the believers from Russian Federation, but also followers of Islam in Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan can use the application.

“In January 2014 we started looking for the new places beyond Russia, and currently we know about 250 of them, yet the work continues. We know that people of Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan also play this uneasy game called “Find halal in your town”, and we want to help them,” - Mr. Airat Kasimov, Project author and developer, says.


The halalguide.me website was launched with a new look and updated content on April 15. A famous Russian calligraphist Mr. Eduard Dimasov took part in the rebranding process. “The idea of this new project was quite simple and for that reason successful. I decided to leave the users’ favorite marker point, having modernized it a little bit. The Halal Guide works with you position on the map directly, and due to that the renewed symbol will soon gain the reputation of one of the best helpers for righteous Muslims.”


Today the free application covers 1,636 places in 1,092 cities, more than 10,000 downloads from the Apple Store and 2,500 downloads for Android. Number of active users increased over 5,000 people in March 2014, the ansar.ru reports.


Handy navigation allowing to set a route to the selected place or organisation is one of the main advantages. Besides, the user can see all the locations and organisations either on the map or in the list, learn more about the selected location and its working hours, activities and contacting information.


Possibility to add new locations for every user is the application’s feature, making each of the users a contributor.


Free application is available at AppStore and PlayMarket.


The developers are planning to extend the geography to other foreign countries like Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Japan, UK, etc. in the nearest future.
