Monograph “Crimean historical prose in XV-XVII centuries” of the Associated Professor of the Crimean Tatar and Turkish literatures Department of the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University, researcher of the Research Centre of the Crimean Tatar language and literature Dr. Nariman Seityagya had recently been published in Crimea.

This book was published in Russian by the "Krymnavpedderzhvydav" publishing house.

This monograph devoted to the Crimean Tatar historical prose of the Khans’ period. Analysing woks of the Crimean historians of XV-XVII centuries and archival documents, the author reconstructs a picture of origin of the Crimean historiography in the context of the Golden Horde’s literature, Crimean literature and its development, within frames of the court literature of the Crimean Khanate and its gradual dying after the Russian occupation.

Moreover, monograph covers issues of folkloric roots of the written historical tradition of the Golden Horde, it proposes periodization of the Crimean Tatar historical prose’s development and characterizes peculiarities of its works’ poetics.

This research is intended for literary critics, historians and students of universities.
