3 February 2010, waived hearing on the action of the independent Muslim community ‘Davet’ to declare the actions of the Republican Committee for Religions (RCR) of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea as unlawful was held in the District Administrative Court of Simferopil city.

The court reached a conclusion and decided after the long trial, in accordance with which to declare the RCR’s actions as unlawful ones in the person of its Head Volodymyr Malyborskyi and Deputy Head Valerii Petrov who had no such authority as to make an expert’s report on the religious community Davet’s activity.

The court declared the RCR’s actions as illegal, which assured to close the organization of November last year. The Davet lawyer, Director of the juridical service ‘Omer Bektash’ Enver Umerov explained at the press conference in Aqmescit on 5 February that he sorted this case out and found out the RCR had no such duty as to check either religious organization.

“RCR of Crimea breaks the norms of criminal, civil, administrative and economic and procedural laws, authorizing itself made the expert's report supposedly on unlawful activity of the religious community Davet” – Mr Umerov told.

It should be noted that the Republican Committee of Crimea for Religions has filed a bill to the trial with demand to cancel the registration of the Muslim community ‘Davet’. The community is accused of dissemination of the international Islamic political Party Hizb-ut-Tahrir’s ideology and printings without any date-line during its conferences. The fist sitting of the District Administrative Court of Crimea was held on 13 November.
