They write on the private matters, on politics, on world’s event, they earn money and fill and create websites — all this is about bloggers. Second blogging contest in Crimea is meant to motivate these people and popularize their activities.

The first bloggers’ contest “Crimean Tatars’ life in Crimea” started in 2012. Back then, Mr. Reshat Aliev became the author of the best photo, And Mr. Asan Amirsaliev sent the best article.

This year’s contests will also be held in two categories, namely “The best photo shot” and “the best article”; the current topic is “Modern Life In Multicultural Crimea”.

“We want to inspire the young journalists, media-activists and bloggers in developing this topic,” — Mr. Vladimir Pritula, Chief editor of “Krymskotatarskiy vopros” (“Crimean Tatar Matter”), “Radio Freedom” Journalist, Head of the press-monitoring committee in Crimea and Honored Journalist of Ukraine, commented at a press-conference on November 26. — “Crimea is a unique region inhabited by many people of different ethnic origins.”

Head of the project Ms. Svetlana Ereshchenko, editor of the web portal “Krymskotatarskiy vopros online” said that “the winners of this contest will be awarded with tablet PCs, the silver prizers will get digital cameras, and the bronze-winners will receive modems.”

The winners are to be chosen by a competent jury of famous journalists, bloggers, photographers and Social organisations’ representatives.

Mr. Shevket Suleimanov, a photographer and a permanent jury member, said that the contest has been very useful, as “different ethnic groups have to learn more of one another.”

The bloggers’ works are accepted up to February 20, 2014, at krym.konkurs.blog@gmail.com (cc to best.crimean.blogger@gmail.com). Please find the contest details at the “Krymskotatarskiy vopros online” web portal (krymtatar.in.ua). The winners are to be awarded in March 2014.
